timing?

alright, did some 3rd gear pulls today and starting going from there with AFC.

was running really lean(12.1) all the way to redline pretty much.

now i got it 11.1-11.3 all they way

can anyone enlighten me on the term timing and how i can find out what it is on my car.

btw, im using LM-1 to log AFR's.

You need a pocketlogger that plugs into the OBD-II port and can show you the timing. When you're lean, it causes knock, and when the ECU detects knock, it pulls (lowers) timing. This is to protect the engine, but it also reduces power significantly. Your goal will be to have the best combination of boost, AFRs, and timing that makes the most reliable and safe power.

Uh yah...pocketloggers.com Please learn to use the search feature up on the top right, though. You can learn a lot more a lot faster if you do a little searching.

I don't use any of those, but I get tired of typing out how I made mine, since I've already done it so many times. You will pay more at pocketloggers.com, but we're only talking $30-40 for a full product instead of a piecemeal one.
