Can you make a evo 8 idle like stock with a Apexi Power Fc and 280 in/ex cams??? I know the Aem ems can do it. I heard a cammed evo with Aem ems and it idled like stock!!! Could not even tell. Anyone know???

 

Are you sure the AEM idled at 850 rpm like stock? The PFC can easily handle the 280s and produce a good idle, but I have never seen any engine management system make 280s idle like stock. You can really smooth out the idle by bumping it to 1000 rpm.

 

Yep the Power FC canjust raise the idle a little and they run smooth. I have a few cars running 272's and they idle perfectly.

The AEM needs to be at 1000rpms to do it. The PFC will idle almost like stock at 850rpms.

 

I have an evo vi up to 1000hp ready to be run with 280 tomei cams and was thinking about working them with Power Fc Dgentro.I have been told that those cams will work very hard and very aggressive on the road but i will gain up to 20hp from any 272cams.

 

280's make a big difference if you have a decent sized turbo in there.
