UCC compatible for mac?

Hey all,
Just ordered the new mac-book pro for college and I was wondering if the UCC was compatible with mac. Also can you load up a hyperterminal for the UTEC like you can on windows? I am new to the apple/mac world and am trying to get a heads up. Thanks in advance!

,Tyler

I doubt UCC is compatable but the hyperterminal can be installed somehow, or atleast i am pretty sure it can. I will try to ask my buddy about it. I am about to order the same thing for college as well, my ibm has seen better days.

I run my Utec and Tuner on a Mac using Virtual PC (couple of hundred bucks)

It would prbably be cheaper to find a used PC with XP or similar. Don't go back to Win98 unless you know for sure it'll run.

Seems like there might be a way to use one of the OS X utilities to get a telenet-like connection and read out, similar to hyperterminal, but I doubt you will find any Mac versions or support for UCC since it was developed privately.

Good Luck

You might also see if ZTERM will work

If you only have usb ports, you can try a Keyspan adaptor (mdl# USA 19W ? ... it's the grey and clear one in any event.) It works fine with my Mac's "UCC on Virtual PC" connection to the Utec / Tuner set up.
