Quest. to people running GM or Perrin BCS

You guys are using the built in UTEC solenoid cycling to control these ...right?

Its around $30 for the GM parts, I posted in another thread the part numbers you need, but you'll have to search for it "GM Boost Solenoid" should get you there.

I've been using it for some time, and driving it with the UTEC and have had no problem, originally I was concerned I'd have to use an inline resistor to keep from burning out the solenoid driver on the UTEC or the solenoid itself, but it apparently works fine (its been about 2 years since I've set it up)


FWIW Both the GM and Perrin solenoid should work similarly, but I have personally had better results with the GM one.

I have been using the perrin unit for over a year with no problems. It helped a bit.
