Thumbs up ? for Most Knowledgeable Tuners!

I have been told that there is a way to switch maps with a Apex AVC-R. If so, can I get a Ecutek flash for meth. and a flash for just 93 octane and switch between the 2? Whoever knows the answer please explain.


I am considering a Utec but would like to stick with the stock ECU because it automatically adjust to changes in barometric temperature etc....

The AVCR is simply a boost controller, how would it allow switcing between maps with an ECU? as far as its concerned all it see's in is rev, speed, manifold pressure. And based off that opens the soleniod on and off according to pressure and duty cycle.

It has no concept of fuel being used, knocking, detonation etc
