Tuning for AFR's...
Well I have been dedicating a lot of time recently to tuning my evo and things have been going pretty well and learning a great deal. I have tuned my afrs to be pretty steady but I realized that most tuners start dropping the afrs around 6k and go from something like 11.3 down to 11.0 at redline. Is there a point that this taper should start occuring and how quickly do you want to make this transition in afr. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
its really a guideline and dependent on your boost levels.. Anything richer than 11.5 shouldbe more than safe enough for most tunes as long as you don't have really aggressive timing where your using the additional fuel to quench potential knock.
I actually tend to tune more aggressively for lower boost, than go for killer boost and dump fuel into it..
