Still Learning.....
Simple question, but some background first.
Got the Utec and Tuna hooked up, no problems, things seem to working just dandy in map 0. I have no other maps at this point.
I've been datalogging for a couple days, trying to see where my current 'flash' has me running from a reputable vendor here on evom. The purpose of datalogging is to develop a baseline, as I'm about to swap out turbos and have some headwork done.
I'm hitting the 100% load site(s) with some regularity at various rpm's with my current setup of T.M.E. plus 272's. So if I go with a bigger turbo and headwork, I'd expect to "live" in those load sites at WOT in the future. I'd rather have more resolution than that. Simple solution, rescale the MAF
Currently my max is set at 1700 hz (base setup with ver. 1.7 of the UTEC).
Here's the question..... if I set the max MAF setting to something higher, say 2500 hz, without adjusting any timing or fuel, will this adjustment by itself add timing and take out fuel by putting me in a lower load site in the 2D maps?

If you are asking about whether it will put you in lower load cells while you are running map 0, I think the answer is no, since map 0 is just a pass through mode. If you are talking about running the sample maps from Turbo XS, I don't know, but you are going to need to fine tune those extensively anyway. You should aim for a max MAF (or MAP) that puts you at 90% at maximum load, and then you can treat 100% as an overboost sort of map.
