Launch Control

Hi,

I'm from Turkey and have an evo 8. When I press the clutch pedal with full throtlle, engine cuts of at 5000 rpm. Is there an electronic that disables the cut off? Or any other advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Why would you want to disable that? Its a 2step launch control, you are also building 8-10 psi of boost when doing that.

Hi,

Thanks for reply In fact I dont want to disable it but to modify it. I'm using gt 3037 turbo kit and for example while in 0-100 kmh testing, launch control rises my time. I only want to know can I modify it with an electronic device to, for example 6000 rpm? Or could you show me an another way to modify it? And what is the meaning of 2step launch control?

Thanks

You are going to need EcuFlash and the cable then to change it yourself, or have your tuner do it. I would also play around by going 100 rpm up at a time, i.e. 5100, 5200, etc. Its best to do this at a dragway and go off your 60' times -- unless you have some sort of datalogger that is reading your 1-100km times.
