Power FC & AC?

Hi everyone,

Just installed the power fc on my '05 evo 8. Switched ecu pin #8 (AC) and pin # 22 (fuel pump relay) and the car starts up fine. Just noticed however that the AC no longer gives out cold air. Installed the stock ecu to check and AC was working fine. Does anyone have a solution for this problem or any suggestions?

many thanks,
Q8

I don't believe that you have the change the pin if you have the usdm model power fc.

I assume you have an EVO VII ECU. If so than you will not be able to get the AC to work.

really? thats like, a big problem. why would it not work?
i was planing on using an evo7 PFC on my evo 8 when i get it
apexi has a wiring loom to adapt the 7 PFC onto the 8 loom

any ideas why the aircon doesnt work? some form of relay doesn't activate?

Had the similar problem installing evo7 ecus into evo 8 .
Briefly there is an AC clutch and ecu ac input - wich tell ecu that AC is working and ecu AC output that turns off the AC clutch at high rpm. On evo7 and evo8 these inputs work a bit different - but it is possible to do little rewiring and AC starts working...

dude.. im from bahrain.. we get the same specs..

ur car is running a JDM ecu, just plug in the PFC with no modifications. my evo VII PFC works just fine on any Gulf Spec/JDM evo VIII.. theres no need to switch the wires!

and.. good choice on going with the PowerFC, if u need any help tuning it.. a friend of mine called ahmed could help u out there in kuwait, or.. u can give us a visist here and well tune the car for you.. its just a 3 hour drive anyway!
