'03 Evo & Power FC?

L Jetro, D Jetro, rumors of discontinuation, need for FC Datalogit to truly get down and get tuning ...

What's the scoop here? Just s synopsis. L or D? Will the Evo 8 version be out and supported much longer? Do considerable mods (cams, etc.) dictate the need for FC Datalogit?

What would you buy today for your '03 with cams, fuel pump, injectors, white rabbit & actuator, 3" TBE, ignition amp, BR intake/IC/piping, BOV, and MBC?

I'm tired of flashes!

Thanks.

some of the unpopular models have been discontinued, some of the skyline versions have been discontinuned as nec don't make the CPU that was used in them, so apexi had no choice

ljetro
uses stock airflow meter or larger AFM's
easiest to tune with and a lot of the basic mapping is done already on the stock maps

djetro
have to install optional djetro map sensor kit
youll loose some tuning accuracy
it will take longer to tune and get it right

datalogit isnt required to get most things working like a good tune, cams, idle etc but it can be helpful for advanced tuning and logging. its not the be-all and end-all but it does make life easier, plus you can copy/save your maps in case you make a bobo or do map compares to track changes. can also access some of the hidden stuff thats not present on the hand controller, but is present on the powerfc.
these are mainly advanced things like boost correction, airtemp correction, water temp correction control etc

as in they are done automatically and run on defaults, but if you want to chagne the defaults, you need datalogit to access them

you should be able to dial in injectors, cams, full tune, fuel economy, power, afr's to suit your needs and boost control without datalogit

Awesome, pieces of information there, thanks so much! I just know if I add datalogit, some of the big price savings disappears over the AEM.

Any other input welcome - this helps greatly!

So, exactly, what is required to make the LJetro work? Does anyone have part numbers?

I assume it's the Power FC, Commander, and an appropriate harness?

Thanks!

there is nothing extra needed to make the ljetro work
it uses the stock airflow meter, stock 02 sensor and wiring loom

the djetro needs an optional map sensor kit installed
