IX ECU whp Question

Hey guys, Just got my Helix TBE w/ o2 housing installed and put in my Works Drop-in filter, and i'm ready for a ECU flash. I'v been searching and found that most flashes+ tbe are putting down 280-290whp. I just wanted to know how some of you IX owners are putting down 320+whp without cams, and which ECU flash gives the most WHP(not flywheel). What parts am I missing? Thanks for the help.

It would be a waste to get a flash right now. Make sure you get a boost controller and fuel pump. It'll cost you a little over $200 and you can do the install yourself. Once you do a custom flash, you should have about 340 to the wheels.

So there are different routes to take when modding? For example, the stage 1 wouldn't make as much power a MBC, fuel pump and a custom tune? Sorry for the newbish questions. This is very interesting.

Thats not what I mean. You need to add on the mbc and fp on top of the mods that you have in order to maximize your power. Think about it this way. You are probably going to spend $500 on a custom tune to maximize your power with your current mods. Then when you need more power you're going to have to add the mbc and fuel pump as well. Well, they don't cost that much to buy or install. Sooo, you should put those on as well before you get tuned so that you don't end up paying twice for the tuning.

Thank you for the explination. I was considering vishnu. Would it be ok to get the MBE and FP, then do a mail-in ecu. Or would it require a custom dyno tune?

most tuners will not tune your car without a fuel pump. they can tune your car without a mbc. but for 90 bucks it's a good mod. 340 awhp is wishful thinking. your original guess of 280-290 is more realistic. it depends on the dyno though. get a custom tune and your car will feel much better.
