tunning for low,mid,high power?
Ok so as you will soon find out after reading this.... I dont know a lot about turbo cars yet. But I was talking to someone and telling them that I was going to have my car custom tuned and he asked if I was just going for peak numbers or if I was going to have my tunner try to get more low end out of it? I just thought that when you did a custom tune you where looking for the best all around numbers everywhere in the rpm range. He was telling me that a good tunner can tune a car to a lot of things and that if I wanted more power somewhere that I should tell my tunner. So I am going to be putting my car on the dyno and spending the money to have a couple maps made (street and race gas) in a few weeks and I dont plan on doing anything that needs tunning untill I get some money for cams so I would like to get it right the first time. Is what this guy saying sound about right and if so what should I be looking for in a tune?
