Any of you have a problem getting the zeitronix software to work on your laptop?

 

ZDL works with Vista. You probably need to adjust the COM port number in the ZDL software (settings/plot and COM/) to match the COM port # of your laptop or USB serial adapter.

 

I did that. But still says that no device is found.

 

Got it working.. Maybe I was doing it in the wrong order...? I followed the order you said in the Email, and it popped up. Thanks guys!

Make sure the COM port chosen in the logging software matches the COM port number of your PC laptop. If you are using USB to serial adapter make sure the virtual COM port number assigned by the adapter driver is the same as chosen in the logging software. Keep in mind some USB serial adapters assign COM ports into a higher number than 8. You can adjust the COM port number in the ZDL logging software by going into Settings, Plots/Com Port. USB serial adapter COM port needs to be adjusted through a control panel.
Make sure there is no other software trying to access the COM port and creating a conflict.
Make sure to use the supplied grey serial plug and supplied phone like cord. Your own phone cord most likely will not work.

Power up the Zt-2, connect to the serial port of your PC, open the logging software, pres enter, a message will appear in lower bottom corner" Collecting Data". Logs will appear in 15 seconds after power up.
