if they had an evo and it was tuned by someone else, no, i wouldn't let them breathe on my car. if they didn't have a personal evo but worked at a shop and had enough experience with the 4G63 then why not.

my tuner owns an evo and tunes himself. he's the only one that I will ever let tune my car locally. Plus he can tune any car besides a mits. You need to look at their feedback as a tuner before making any decisions. If they don't have any experience, don't waste your time and the cost of your engine.

If any tuner can't/couldn't/wouldn't tune their own car, I wouldn't suggest letting them touch yours.

A good tuner should feel that he/she is the best person to make your car perform better. If they let someone else tune theirs, what does that say about their tuning ability?

Chris tunes his own car. I tune mine. We do it because we feel that we are 100% capable of the best tune possible on our vehicles. That's how it should be.

The best person to tune your car is someone who owns/races an Evo that they depend on to not break and perform well.
