Dave Buschur or Tym Switzer?

I am about to need a Dyno Tune from a professional! I have a street tune that one of my friends did (yes he does know how to tune)! Well the car is running good, but Im about to add a New manifold, intercooler and piping, and Meth! Simply put, I dont trust the other guy to tune my car! Well since Im in Ohio and Buschur and Tym have been around, I am trying to figure out who would be the best to get to tune my car? Also, would 50/50 or 100% meth make the most power on the Evo IX turbo? Thanks for your help and opinions!

Either one. Tym used to work at Buschur Racing, but even if he didn't, I'd still recommend him. He knows his stuff.

Why would you not go to Buschur? His tuning experience can not be matched. I have taken 3 Evos cars there and have never been disappointed. When I have not taken one there it has been disaster. What it the old saying, "live and learn"?

Dave all the way. I am sure he has tuned more Evo's than Tim, and Dave is a GREATEST guy hands down

He gave me some pointers when I was tuning my Evo on his dyno. He drew out a football like play on his marker board that helped me more that I could explain to you in words

Buschur! I would go to him if i was in the area. Even if i lived a state on either side i don't think it would be a question.

Both are great tuners. Both know their stuff. Both will do a good job on your car. Both of them have worked on my EVOs.

Realize, you are starting a relationship here. You are looking for someone you trust to give advice and steer you in the right direction, as well as deliver a quality, safe tune.

I have had 5 different tuners touch the ECU's on my EVOs. You learn what is important after a while. My suggestion - take an afternoon off work and go to Buschur's shop. Talk with him about your car, what's on it, and what you want to get out of it.

Then drive over to Tym's shop. Talk with him about your car, what's on it, and what you want to get out of it.

After you talk with both of them it will be very easy to decide who you want to tune your car. You will find that one or the other just feels right - you like them and agree with them. And that's what you want - when it's all said and done you want to walk away feeling satisfied that your car is as good as it can be.

EVOlutionary

p.s. - I would do this BEFORE you buy a manifold, IC, IC pipes, and alcohol injection kit!

This is too easy!!! David Buschur all the way. He has all the parts and answers to anything you may have and he'll get you to where you exactly want to go without having you buy bogus parts that wont offer any performance increase!!!!

Here is how your post should have read:

Since this thread is about only 2 tuners, neither of whom will do so, the "having you buy bogus parts that wont offer any performance increase!!!!" part of your post is irrelevant. Neither of these guys are like that.

Actually, since Tym is not really in the business of selling parts, he would be even less likely to talk you in to buying something you don't need. . .
