Smile questions about tune..

Hi all, questions like this are probably asked all the time but I have a hks gt2835set up in my evo. An ARC super induction box, ARP Head Studs, FIC 700cc injectors, GSC 272 camshafts, etc...but the problem is can anybody recommend what I can do with it tuning wise? It seems like it's got big time lag and idles like crap. Wondering if anyone can give me some pointers. Thanks

Sounds like your fuel trims are pretty far off. That can be fixed with a tune. have you not had the car tuned at all?

well i bought the car from a guy in jersey who supposedly had it tuned by ivey tune and then had it shipped to me. I live way the hell in tx and people around here have told me that I need to have it retuned. I had it hooked up to a wideband and it shows me running lean at idle and really rich when I floor it. As far as tuning goes can I buy something and do it myself or is it better to take it somewhere?

Define lean at idle with a number

Define rich at wot with a number

That is all...

Well, technically you can do it yourself with a laptop and Tactrix cable, but fuel trims are a PITA to tune. You might be better going with an experienced tuner.

And yes, give us some numbers to work with so we can help determine how rich/lean your values are.

If you don't have any experience tuning but have the money I would definately leave the tuning to an experienced tuner. Fuel trims really are a PITA to tune
