knock after drop-in filter install

before i installed the k&n panel i took some logs of the car and was having little to no knock at all, after the install i was seeing lots of knock in the 2500-3000rpm range. what do i need to change in the timing map to help correct this? and no i do not have a wideband to see a/f. all help is appreciated and no this is not a vendor map

i have attached a evoscan file and included a link for my rom.

I am going to take a shot at this. Because the filter makes the care more efficient in getting air you dont need as much timing. Pull back some timing at the knock areas. Please correct me if i am wrong guys.

the drop in air filter is not going to make your car knock, stock cars tend to knock a little in that area. not all the time and thats why you didnt see it before. its just coincidence it showed up after the filter. Put the stock filter back in and I guarentee you will see the same knock eventually.
But ya you can reduce timing in those areas by 1-2 if you desire.

it was already flashed before and didnt have much knock at all for the year before putting in the new filter but i mean having that many counts is just nuts
