Need Immobilizer help!!!

I need some insite as to how the immobilizer works. I just swapped the race motor and Apexi Power FC out of my 2003 Evo 8. I swapped in the motor, tranny, main engine harness, ecu, and steering colum from a doner 2003 Evo 8. When I stick the key in and turn it, after about 10 secs, the green immobilizer light flashes and the car will not start. It cranks over, but that's about it. I had thought the immobilizer was part of the ecu and steering colum. Am I missing something?

Its coded to the key's remote transmitter.

Without the proper code it will NOT START!

It can be flashed out as a temp fix but the immobilizer code should be replaced with the correct code for the key.

The Key's remote transmitter? I also am using the original key. The key, ecu, motor, steering column, and main engine harness are all from the same donor car. Am I missing something else? Also where is the factory alarm? Is a box somewhere? The factory alarm remote that I have from both the original car and the donor car do not seem to work.

The Immobilizer ECU is just above the datalink connector and the ODBII units under the dash. As for the Key fob I'd have to dig through the service manual to see if that needs resetting.
