Most Important Gauges For Tuning
If you were limited to only 2 gauges, and you tuned your own car what would they be???
I think a boost gauge is the obvious first choice, but for the second gauge I can't decide between EGT or a Wideband gauge.
Since I can log my LC-1, would the EGT gauge be a better choice?
Also, comment on what brand you would go with other than Defi for accuracy/reliability.
My first choice right now is STRI, second is Prosport.

1. Wideband
2. Boost gauge.
Zeitronix Zt-2 all in one (AFR, Boost, EGT, Lambda) Wideband:

Seriously for the price can you beat this???

First off, I would not nessisarily catogorize a wideband setup as "guage", as it's more like a data inqusition instrument such as a logger setup or tuning software, at least in my eyes.
I don't know about "tuning", but the two most important guages you could have on these cars are 1) a boost guage and 2) an oil pressure guage. Specificly, an electronic one that reads to 150psi.

You have to use a JDM 3 Bar MAP sensor if you want to log with evoscan, which is the best way IMO, but good luck getting a sensor. You may want to find out about an EVO X MAP sensor, I have heard people saying it is the same as the JDM one and might be easier to get. I have not heard anything concrete yet.
You can use a GM 3 Bar MAP sensor and configure to log with logworks (innovate motorsports software).
You can also log boost with a zeitronix setup but not with evoscan.
Thats all I know of off hand.

I second the boost and wideband if it's just two. I run an Innovate for my wideband and an AEM Serial Gauge for everything else (can display up to 19 parameters which can be toggled right on the gauge face, but requires an AEM EMS).
