Killing Timing Belts
Killing Timing Belts
Recently I was doing some dirt trails with my evo and broke the oil filter housing off. The car ran for about 200 yards more then died. I pieced it all back together but it destroys the timing belt when I rev it. (it Ideals fine) Im guessing i burned up/destroyed the counterbalances and it locks the exaust side counterbalance gear up. Now im going to be doing a Counterbalance elmintion kit.. I was just wondering, before I do that, would that solve my promblem? And if anyone has done that how hard is it to actually remove these? Or would I just be better of replace them instead of removing?
