New clutch??

So my local tuner sent me a list of things I need to do one of them is get a new clutch. Now the list he sent me was a general list they send to everyone so I am wondering if this is something normal everyone has to do or just older cars. I am hoping that i wont need to replace my clutch on my evo8 with 40000 miles. Let me know please!

It's give or take with clutches. Varies on the driver and how they drive their car (i.e. racing, launching). IMO though it's hardly the most important on the general maintenance TO-DO list if it's not going or slipping badly.

If it's not slipping, then it does not need replacing.
However, if you are going to be modding and having fun with the car, there is a very good chance it will not last long. There are individuals that have gotten away with increasing torque and not upgrading the clutch through careful driving. I'm not one of these individuals and mine only lasted 21K, but I still did not replace it till it started to slip. It sound to me like this "tuner" is just trying to be preventative. But if it's not broke...?
Removing the fluid restrictor in the slave cylinder and upgrading the clutch line should help in eeking out more life from the stock clutch.
