engine management

I just built my tranny/tcase and am ready to put on my 3076R. What kind of engine management should i go with? I was thinking AEM but a friend of mine says they arent good and i should go w open source?

AEM is great, its just harder and expensive. ECUFlash it up!

It depends on what you looking for out of your engine, under 500 bhp use ecuflash and above that the AEM will be your best bet. But it all comes down to your tuner and what he is comfortable with and your pocket.

Actually the stock ecu has been good up to like 680-700 hp now...

Opensource is def a good idea, if you need some help i live in jacksonville. You have to change ECU roms before you can do much since you have an 05 Evo but you def dont have to have an AEM to run a 30R

yeah ive been talking w doug from topspeed. he will be tuning my gf next week so i was going to see what he says. i live in jacksonville too.
