Tuning issues

hey u guys i did some research and leaned out my car to around 10.2. I did this becuase my shop is in md and i live in florida. I wanted to get a little tune so the car could respond better. My friend leaned it out and now it makes this weird noise when i accelerate. Like a burble. I f anyone has any ideas what it could be let me know.

Just put the stock tune back on it and have the shop in florida tune it for you..or if not have mellon or some of the tuners on here do it for you?

Please do some research first. There is a lot of good info in these threads. Or better yet take it to someones who knows what they are doing. For the record 10.2 is not lean. How are you getting your AFR's? Oh and this is in the wrong section of the forum BTW

Are you saying your wideband reads 11.1 @ wot? 11 or 10 is not lean. You should take it back to tuner or find a local shop/tuner, without hearing in person, noone can tell you what noise is it.

This thread is too funny. Someone needs to do some researching before they ever touch a fuel map.

Well i live in tallahassee. I am actually on my way to dc when im done my have finals and i will be going to ifinite speed and performance. I know its still rich but my friend leaned out to 11.1 i told him i just wanted it a little bit leaner because it wasn't as responsive at 9 something before. But anyways it was running fine until it rained just did a boost leak check and my intercooler was leaking so i fixed that. An it still wont go past ten without make that gurgling noise.

I'm defi lost what your point. IC leak is nothing to do with AFR. And lean out, you mean AF ran rich and change to 11? If it is, its fine. Imo 11 is still safeside. Your best bet is take it to local tuner.

this is like trying to read a chinese newspaper. Contact your local friendly neighborhood tuner and you'll be set. A situation like these usually ends up with a blown motor due to lack of information and making general assumptions.
