evoscan problem HELP WANTED

evoscan problem HELP WANTED

long story short a friend came over because he wanted to up the boost cut on his 2jtt powered sc300 so i downloaded the software for his ecu but the ecu uses a serial -usb cable so i installed that software

now when i go to log (it worked before) it connects for a split second then disconnects ive uninstalled & reinstalled evo scan + ive uninstalled all the software that was needed for his ecu still no go

heres what the event log says:
