Question AEM UEGO problem

My AEM UEGO gauge its stuck reading at 14.8. According to AEM FAQ, its an open pin, wire, etc. I have checked the wire harness and it looks good, the pins look good, no rust or pushed out; both of them behind the gauge and at the sensor. I had an old sensor (dont know if its good) but it did the same thing. My question is if any one has had this problem before. I dont want to buy a new sensor and be the gauge thats bad and spend double the cash.

UPDATE: got my new sensor and everything is working! So yes, it was the sensor.

If you are saying that it is stuck at 14.8 when logging with evoscan, then try reinstalling the Driver for COM PORT.

Yeap sorry for the misspelling. But yes it's stuck on 14.8. And it's a stand alone gauge setup.

Yeah thanks seen it already. But it won't warm up to lean.

Is everything connected? No wires that are frayed, cut, etc?

Yeap. Check all connections and plugs. What I would like to know is if I need a sensor or gauge?

I would say sensor. Never heard of a "Gauge" going bad.

How long have you had the sensor reading AFRs?

hmm.. my guess would have to be bad wiring. i know you say you have checked it all and its fine but if that was the case, wouldnt the o2 sensor warm up and go full lean like in that video?

i also highly doubt the gauge its self is bad. i have never herd of one going out. maybe just try a new sensor.

If you can try a working 02sensor before you buy a new one to be sure that is the problem

I guess I'll have to suck it up and order a new sensor to try.

My gauge just recently did this as well. I start my car it sits on 14.7 for a second then goes to 14.8 or14.9 (can't remember) and sits. It doesn't change. I extended my harness and thought this might have affected it. It worked fine 4 months after doing this and aem said as long as the wires are equal length, soldered, and heat shrunk (common sense stuff) then it shouldn be that. So im in the same boat with no paddle. Im not spending 80 bucks to find out if the sensor is out or not. Sure hope someone figures this out. For the both of us.
