Air Fuel Upgrade Questions
Air Fuel Upgrade Questions
Hello,
I'm new to the board but I have been an avid reader for quite some time (lurker..lol). I have recently felt the need to get the HP up on my 06 EVO GSR. I just purchased:
Tomioka Stainless Exhaust Manifold,
Skunk2 Intake Manifold,
AEM High Volume Fuel Rail,
AMS EVO Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit,
AMS Manual Boost Controller Kit,
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump w/Install Kit,
With that being said I'm looking to see what my stock turbo can do. My next path for upgrades includes a new clutch and flywheel, some fuel injectors, and a 68mm throttle body. And after this I'm going to go for a stock housing turbo upgrade probably FP Red or Green.
Now, I am a newbie but I do have the added value of an ex-shop owner here who tunes his BOSS Mustang on the regular and he has sort of guided me with the stage 1 upgrades you see listed above.
I am concerned about running lean/rich and have seen a buddy of mine just make his EVO X crazy unstable from fiddling with the air/fuel with his COBB Access Port. I want to avoid that. Does anybody have any suggestions or warnings.....? Like I said I'm new here but I'm going to be around.
