Car missing after HKS SSQV 3 installed

Pretty bad *** BOV! I have to get that off my chest! Got it installed last night and it's well worth it! Few problems, someone hellp me out!

1) Car starts missing like a mother flipper at idle after turning the car off for a minute.
2) at WOT it also misses, maybe 2-3 kicks every pull
3) it also misses while cruising but it's not easily noticable
4) Turbo isn't kicking nearly as hard as it was before the bov was installed, and i didn't check if it was holding boost like it was before. I have a video of how it sounds, i'll post it once i get home.

check for vacuum leaks... doubt the two are actually related but who knows. you could swap back and see if the issue continues or stops... if it continues i would say your plugs are probably fouling. i guessing this is the 03 evo in your sig?

best of luck. if you better results and to lose the the annoying rice sound lemme know. i have forge dv that held to 35psi on mine

It was missing at WOT at first, i am pretty sure the plugs are fouled, i didn't want to take them out because if i do i'll have to replace the coils due to the fact that one of them already tore while attemting to take one of the plugs out.

I put a cap on the intake where the bov was recirced into, and that fixed the missing besides WOT. Here are two vid's with and without the cap:

Sounds like the only problem you had was having unmetered air after your mas. You had should be good to go now except for inbetween shifts you might be pretty rich until you get a tune or go SD

Agreed. Get that piece of crap off of your car ASAP.

Pretty simple diagnosis. Add a modification, start to have problems, it's most likely that modification. In this case, probably the terrible BOV you disgraced your engine bay with.

Little harsh don't ya think? If your running high boost, it's a good bov. Running stock boost in cold weather it sticks and you get compressor surge.

i was given a hks bov before i really tore into my car. i ran it for like a week. it leaked under any amount of boost and the whistle is retarded... so i bought a forge diverter... amazing valve and it held and tested to 35psi. never a single issue... now i have a different one as suggested when i built my motor... i do have the ole forge if you wanna swap the hks out... sell it to you cheap...

Don't VTA on MAF. Recirculated is the best for your car. Try a Crushed Evo 9 Divertor.
