did they ever fix the problem of burning your ignition coils?

 

I think we all need a definitive answer on this.

I just got my emanage installed 2 weeks ago and at the time of install we called Greddy to ask them about this.......they said that at this time the emanage ignition harness is incompatible with the evo 8. However they did say that they were working on a firmware update that should be out very soon and will correct the problem.

 

very soon as in a week or 2? or a month or 2? or no-one knows?

 

I was under the impression that the 1.36 firmware fixed this problem??

I wish there was a good answer. I've had the ignition harness installed on my VIII since July. No problems at all, even after leaving the key on/engine not running for 40 minutes (one theory of ''when" it happens). There are other people like me that have had no problems and there are others still that have gone through 2 or more sets of coils.

 

im wiring up my emanage and harness to my fields ecu extention later tonight, it will all go in saturday.. ill let you know.
