My ecu got misplaced while I m putting my car together from
Body work. Can I get another used evo 9 ecu to work ? I heard there are vin info in the ecu and immobilizer. Please help me out the one.

You'll need your immobilizer code from old ecu or disable the immobilizer in the new one

If you have an old map saved on your comp you are golden

 

Yes, it how they steal these cars. You can get an ECU with the immoblizer disabled...

 

I wish I have my old map, but the car is completely stock. So I never come across tuning it. Even if I did, how would I retrieve all the perimeters(immobilizer code, other serial numbers and VIN) and get access of entering all the data into the new ecu? Sorry guys, I am totally new to this and trying to get the car back on the road!

 

The immobilizer code is stored in the Rom when you flash your car. That's the only code you need to worry about.
So if you get another ECU, you'll need to modify your rom to disable the immobilizer code. I would raise hell with whoever lost your original ecu though. That's pretty much giving someone the keys to steal your car!!
