Based on your location and description of the shop... yeah, you pretty much gave it away.

In my opinion you should go back to your tuner and have him fix your issues. At this point your only getting a band-aid and a month into it your still unhappy.

I spoke with the tuner via email because I was having trouble getting together with my friend who has the cable to pull my rom. I asked if I could come to the shop on a Saturday or Sunday to get these issues fixed because I didn't want to take ANOTHER day off work to get this fixed. (Im already out the almost 1100.00 im not buring a vacation or personal day to go there during the week) He simply replied with "possibly" and that was that. I feel that was an unprofessional response to a customer who is only looking to get the issues resolved. I understand no one is perfect and things happen but taking weeks to resolve an issue is un acceptable. I worked at a high end car audio shop for ten years. Four of those years I was the head installer and the other six I was the store manager. Whenever there was an issue it was fixed at the customers convienence. If needed we would come in early or stay late to make the customer happy and because of this we had an excellent reputation. I thought I would have a similar experience with where I chose to take my car. Unfortunately that was not the case. Im sure there are people that went there and had a good experience it saddens me that I wasn't one of them.

If that's the case and he won't even work with you to do it on a Saturday so you don't miss work why are you protecting the identity of the shop. If the problem is the tune and not a different issue due to the car your tuner should go out of his way to help you. Just my $.02

Not mentioning names keeps the thread from being locked I guess. he has hinted enough to where one can easily put 2 and 2 together tho.

OP, try to pm him the link to this thread. If he sees it, he will see that you mean business and you want a resolution fast. However, there's always two sides to the story and he might have a different opinion on how things went down. At least your dealing with a shop who has 0 history of doing people dirty, and at least thats a bright side. Good luck !!

Im asking myself the same question... I just didn't want to be that guy that goes and *****es about it on the internet. I want to give them every possible opportunity to make things rite. I am getting a bit fed up at this point.. I guess we will see how it plays out..
i should have used Jeff Evans

UPDATE:

Sent over another email Thursday 3/21 since I still haven't heard anything.
It said.

Me- "Any news on my updated rom? This is getting a bit ridiculous ... You said on
the 3rd I should have something shortly."

Them-
"Sorry jon-

Been a little overwhelmed here with projects and working with modified
magazine-

I will fire some thing over tomorrow"

STILL NOTHING!!

Honestly what do his "projects" have to do with not fixing a botched tune for a customer that already paid? I guess working on the Porsche he just bought is top priority..
And modified magazine has nothing to do with me or the fact that I dislike driving my car now because of all this.. At this point I'm ready to ask for a refund on the tune (not labor)and just go somewhere else.. All I've wanted since day one was for my car to be right. I explained that in my first email and told the technician who was working on my car the same thing. Hence the 1,100 bill. I would have been fine with that if the car was right, but it's not. I thought I was going to "the best" and expected "the best". All I got was to see a clean shop and a weight reduction to my bank account.

Just going to put my thoughts in here. I have gone to the "BIG" name tuners and all it seems they do is throw a tune on do 3-4 dyno pulls and get you out the door. I have had horrible idle issues, it would stall, wouldnt run right etc. I told the big name shop thats why i wanted them to look at it, to fix my idle issues. They never fixed it. So i found Karl from kp tuning. Awesome guy to deal with. He took the time, set the tune up right and it runs like a dream!!!! I even went speed density. Any questions you have or problems you ever have, throw him an email or text and he always gets back to you. Thats what people want. Not some big name shop to just take your money throw a tune on and push you out the door. Hope this helps. Look him up and just have him do your tune.
