problems updating emanage...

ok I followed the instructions and I downloaded the lastest update from the yahoo group and installed but it read version 1.25... but when I try to update now the emanage will not read the file... it reads as a notpad document... it reads version 1.25 instead of the 1.36 that we need... when I checked this morning... I had to drive it home last night and will be driving it back to the shop tomorrow...(havent driven since the ride home) but I was wondering...

the problem with the older firmware is that it burns the coils correct???

and to run the emanage all I need plugged in is the main harness right???

so if I disconnect the ignition harness from the e-manage will it be better than driving with the older firmware...

Also the emanage will not modify anything untill you tell it too right??? so I assume it is running everything as the stock ecu tells it too?

I had the same problem. It's not a .txt file, it's a '.p' file. Unless you specify the file type IE will download it as a txt file and it won't work. File name should be GSC01.p and it is 187 bytes.

I also don't think it has been proven one way or the other that the firmware causes or fixes the coil problem. If you have zeroes in all the maps, the emanage is doing nothing.
