Switching from AEM to Stock ECU

edit:

Most of my questions have been answered but i have a few new ones

is my AEM IAT Sensor fine with stock ecu?
Is it ok if i still use my AEM 5 Bar map sensor or do i have to switch to Omni 4 bar?

will my car idle ok with stock ecu ? i dont think i have coolant ports hooked up on my TB due to magnus V5

thank you for any and all help

I too wonder about this, as my car had an AEM in it when I bought it and I hate the thing.
My problem is that I don't know which sensors I will need with the stock ecu that I no longer have. I know that I have the stock MAP, but I've read that there is a fuel pressure sensor on the stock fuel rail but I don't have a stock fuel rail and consequently don't have that sensor. I know that I will need a MAF, any tips?

Depends on how your IAT sensor is wired in. There is a way to get the stock ECU to read it, it wont do anything with it, but it will read it. Unless you are going stock ECU w/ speed density there really isnt a point to it other then logging purposes. The 5 bar should be fine, so long as you properly scale it in the ECU.

The idle is gonna depend alot on your setup. With a good tune the Stock ECU can idle decently with a pretty aggressive set of cams/injectors but dont expect silky smooth stock idle with heavy mods. The coolant ports are to keep the throttle body from freezing/sticking in super cold climates. Unless you are in sub 0 temps i wouldnt worry about it too much.

There is no fuel pressure sensor on the stock rail so dont worry about that.

Thank you for the info. I will probably stick with the aem and use the stock ecu for inspection purposes only then
