How do these number look?

Hey everyone, I am new to my Evo and just got done with my maintenance that I wanted to get done and now moving onto a fresh tune. Ive had a tuner/shop take a look at my tune and he said that it was retarted, way to aggressive and my motor will blow up.

I DO NOT drive my car hard or crazy, I do a few WOT pulls here and there but up to a 6500K RPM max.

I would like to see other opinions from people who actually drive or work on Evos. Im going to say that it isnt the best tune but would like to see what you guys have to say about it.

Here are a few logs in 3rd gear. Let me know if you want different logs. Ignore the attachment name, cousin emailed it to me like that...

Thanks in advance. =]

with out knowing your boost levels or afr's its kind of pointless except to say that your injectors are stock probably and at a duty cycle of 100% at one point so probably should turn your boost down a little til you can fix that(bigger injectors). And your fuels trims should be +/- 5% so I believe you should increase your injector scaling a little. And although youre not knocking in both logs. 6* at peak boost is probably a little more than it should be. You should really get a UEGO and log your afr's to make sure youre not going ridiculously lean. Hope this helps a little.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have an Innovate LC 2 Wideband. I know that the car is running hella rich WOT. I want to say 10.0-10.8 WOT and my peak boost is at 22 PSI, It was higher when I first got the car and had someone lower that boost down. This might be the cause of my richness?

While taking a look at my injectors, they seem to be all black. I looked at a friends Evo and his injectors have some pink on them (The top part where the harness plugs into). I might have aftermarket injectors? I tried looking for any markings and couldnt find any.

When you mentioned "6* at peak boost is probably a little more than it should be." What were you referring to?

Does this timing look to aggressive?

Im not positive but I think the stock injectors were either a grayish color or black. I think your friend has aftermarket injectors probably. I think even the connector is black as well which many aftermarket injectors will fit the stock connectors.
If it is a stock turbo, youre probably hitting peak boost (the point at which your boost peaks, in your case, 22PSI) is probably around 3000 RPM's. 6* is a little too agressive. I'm surprised, your not getting knock at that point. It would probably feel better if you brought that down to 4*. I cant look at the graph now cuz I'm at work but i would say it would be best to taper the timing down to 4* by a load of say 200 and maybe even 3* over a load of 250. And I'm refering to the RPM at which you get peak boost at.
Ive heard of some "so called" pro tuners(no names) that have put 9* in at peak boost and blow motors. I'd prefer you save yourself time and money.
Any thing that I say just comes from what I've read and/or tried with my car. I've only messed with my car tho. I simply change something, drive/test. If things are running better, I leave it. If not, I revert back to what it was before.
I hope this helps some.

And as far as your AFR's go, yes that's a bit rich as well and is probably why your injector duty cycle %'s were so hight. once you get it up to around 11.8-11.5 depending on your fuel, your %'s should come down to a reasonable level.

and if/when you change your injector scaling, that will lean out your AFR's a little bit too. so me personally, I would change the scaling before messing with the fueling maps. Sorry so many different posts. I post one then remember something else that i wanted to post.
