AEM UEGO for remote tune?

Looking into a remote tune like Boosted Tuning does. He seems to recommend a Zeitronix. From a purely FUNCTIONAL perspective, would a AEM UEGO digital wideband with Bosch O2 sensor accomplish the same requirements (in terms of datalogging for EvoScan)?

Sorry - new to all this.... there's a used AEM for sale that's NIB - I'm totally fine with buying the Zeitronix if required but it would be nice to have the gauge too...from reading it seems like the AEM gauge acts as the sender.

Thanks,
Casey

Yes, you can hook it up to evoscan.
You can buy an AEM serial logging cable from STM. http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...ging_cable.htm

and buy a serial to usb converter. you can buy it on ebay.
"the Prolific brand serial to USB converter is a good choice"

If it's the older AEM UEGO, I'd advise against it. It's slow responding and not as accurate as others out there. AEM has a newer one which looks to be quick in response, but I'm not sure of its accuracy. If your tuner recommends Zeitronix, I'd trust his judgement.

Ive had both kinds. The difference between LSU 4.9 and 4.2 is that LSU 4.9 uses the reference pumping-current, and the LSU 4.2 uses the reference air.

Honestly either will work. The bosch 4.2 sensor should just be calibrated more often whereas the 4.9 will never need to be cal'd.

Yes the response time does differ however it will still work.

Appreciate the feedback all - I think I'll just go with the tuner's recommendation.

Here's a video which illustrates the difference between an affordable wideband versus a high end wideband.
When it comes to tuning datalogging is everything.
