Hi. Can you tell me please what is safe limits for stock evo 8. Im playing with autronic SM4 and boost 1,5b 3500rpm to 1b 6500rpm. I tryed more boost at high RPM but im running out of IDC around 1,3b-5000rpm. Is it becsause 560cc stock injectors limits me? or it is stock fuel pump? What will be my next level upgrade? i thought ARP con rod bolts and bigger injectors? that should help me reach 400HP?

 

Well with evo 8 engine/turbo I run 1.8-2 bar peak and hold it as long as possible but sometimes I reduce boost at 6k rpm because I make less power with higher boost and less timing so at 6k rpm I hold about 1.6 bar of boost and then it starts to drop down. depends on car really. Stock injectors are fine with maxed out flow of 9.8 turbo or even 10.5 when using normal fuel not e85. I'm assuming your fuel system is not working properly.

 

It's good to know how much your fuel system is capable of because it's really easy to upgrade injectors and pump but when you don't solve issue you can brake your engine at the end because your issue went even worse. Common issue for you will be voltage on fuel pump.

 

Thank you! but i founded this issue very fast while im playing with car the vacuum hose from fuel press regulator was blowed down. so i put there a new hose and both end clap to be sure ist not going down because it shuld be fatal for engine.
so then i remake all the map once again and finished 1,6b peak 1,5 at 6k and 1,4 till rev lim, that boost make my IDC 88% at peak...
But i cant believe for stock engine you can run 1,8-2b boost? its not to much for stock con rods?

 

with properly working fuel system 435 hp on engine gives 95-97% duty of stock injectors.

depends on torque. I'm ot going over 600nm(on engine) with stock engine, usually it is in 550nm range.
