What exactly is injector scaleing
Hmm.. easiest example of scaling.. 500cc injector (for example sake) stock.. you upgrade to 1000cc injectors.. however its 2x too large for the ECU's maps... so you would scale them to 50% (10 percent injector duty on a 500cc injector, would be 5 percent on a 1000) Obviously fuel pressure and other things do apply, this is pretty much the idea..
If you have an injector thats 15% bigger, then you have to adjust your settings by 15% otherwise the stock ECU would run rich at its stock INJ duty cycle. It can be done now through the maps, but currently if you do that, you can indirectly affect ignition timing thanks to the different MAF value that its using.. With the new open loop fuel control flash, the UTEC will control the injectors directly and therefore it won't have any effect on timing.
