How hard is it to change maps pump to race gas??
Im gona be buying a FC real soon and was wondering how hard it is to change maps. I have been doing research and did not know how to change the maps or if the FC can hold two maps etc. Is it something that can be done simply by playing with the commander or do I need a laptop.
Any feedback would be great thanks in advance

Power FC needs to be calibrated/tuned by Power FC Excel dealers. Power FC only holds one map at a time, but Excel dealers can upload the program in 5 minutes. So the bottom line is you have to tune the car twice, one with regular gas and one with race gas.
the power fc does not need to be tuned by a dealer....you need tobuy the commander and you can tune yourself.... the unit comes with a "base map" already installed...it is pretty good if your evo is close to stock...then you can use the commander and tune from there....
The closest thing to the Power Excel software is the Datalogit system that is basiclly a hacker software. Also the ONLY places in the US that do have rights to the Power Encel software are located in Cali and Texas... Thats great for us midwesterners, yeah right
I'm praying that it will work for my setup because I hit the barrier with tuning just with the commander. I'm getting the software and some other goodies installed soon I'll let you all know how the software holds up.
What I can tell you now is that the boost controller that works with the PFC sucks.
It will not hold high boost and will rise and fall a lot... save your money and get something else. It's cool to be able to adjust your boost and engine tune all in the same controller but does stand up to other BC's for the price.
