Question laptop mounting???

yes, I already did a search on this and came up with nothing....

well I'm sick of having the laptop on my lap (when not driving of course) or sitting on the passenger's seat all the time. I know they have some nice pieces of hardware that mount the laptop in the car. I saw several of these when I went to SEMA. Anybody here been able to mount their laptop in the evo? I need help.

There you go..

BTW, there are other mounts out there, look up computer mounts for Police vehicles.. those are ruggedized, and technically if their used in police vehicles, they HAVE to be legal for use..

Check that site.. They have the "Police" issue versions too made specifically for the Impala and Intrepid.. Plus SUV and Universal versions that bolt to the seat bracket..

Personally, their ugly, but when not in use the stand can be removed from its base..

I was planning on getting one depending on whether or not I decide to install my in-car PC..

I contacted several vendors about those car laptop stands and I got the same answer from all of them.... "they are not designed to fit imports". They said I could get the other kind that drills into the floor, but I really don't want to do that. So, any other ideas? I'm stuck. How do you guys have them mounted? Or do you not even bother with a mount and just leave it on the seat or floor when logging?

There's one "universal" one on the site besides the one with the mounting plate.. It uses the seat mount bolts.. It should fit since its adjustable and you use the seat bolts to hold it down.

Thats the one I asked about, the one that hooks to the seat brackets. They said that it wont fit. And they suggest that I use the one with the mounting plate which I don't want to use.

"The NO-Holes mounts are not designed to fit imports. You can use any of the standard floor mount models, but you would have to drill into the passenger floor board to mount the plate. The 5167ACD is out biggest seller, in the all-vehicle mounts. See this link: http://www.officeorganix.com/jotto.htm"

so that idea is shot, any others?
