Is S-AFC-II and Power FC the same thing?

Is S-AFC-II and Power FC the same thing? or are they different products by Apexi. As common as SFC-II is, or at lease I think it's one of the pupular fuel/air ratio controller, this forum does not have a category of SFC-II.

My other question is that I bought SFC-II recently and finally installed. I followed the suggested fuel-air ratio came with the SFC-II (settings came from Buscher racing). I believe my installation was succesfull. I searched for the thread and there were few talks about Knocks. When I set-up the knocks as instructed, the number on low end (1300rpm-1700rpm) were 46 and high end (3200-3700 rpm) was 90. When I goto the Monitor mode on the screen while driving, Knocking signal only goes up to 10 or so very momentarily. Most of other times it's showing 0. However, when idling, its showing somewhere from 4-8.

Those numbers I see while setting knock signal and the actual knock signal i see while driving are two different numbers?

One of the thread saids knocking signal should not go above 60, or in high temperature, it can go up to 180 or something like that....

Is this normal? or did I screw up something while installing?

>> one more note. Today while driving in hot temperature, knocking signal showed 30-50 constantly even when idling..

While driving, I don't see any abnormal movement of the engine or hear abnormal noise compare to before installing. Matter of fact, acceleration in the high end RPM has improved quite a bit even though only other mod I have is an impulse high flow air filter.

sorry for the long post.

Well the short answer to your question is: The SAFC and PFC are two totally different things. SAFC deals with fuel primarily. The PFC is a stand-alone engine management system that controls everything in the car (such as your A/C) for instance.

Then why?

Then why there isn't a sub forum under Engine management / Tuning for S-AFC II? There seems to be a lot of posts regarding S-AFC II.

Well I agree with that. You could request such a forum or sub-forum in the Suggestions and Feedback Forum

Thank you.

I just made an request about that. Thank you very much.

When I was driving today under hot weather, I noticed the Knock signal was as high as 50 and around 40 while idling. At night, Knock signal was 6-8 while idling and 0 while driving.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Knocking is un-expected combustion within the cylinder from inappropriate air/fuel ratio caused by extreme temperature of the cylinder itself.

If that's the case, what does this knocking signal number represents? Does it represent how hot the cylinder surface is?

Thank you

I seem to peak out around in the 20s with daily driving (highway driving everyday). To be honest, I dont know if the number is good or bad, but my CEL doesnt flash when I get these low knock counts. It does flash if it goes higher, just not sure what the level is

This is on the power FC.
