running catless w/ UTEC?
ohhh, so you are not just eliminating the particular signal prompting the CEL, but disabling the CEL itself? I don't understand why there isn't a method to do this the right way. On my cobra I was able to turn off the cat sensor...
No, I did make a suggestion in another "feature list" thread for requesting an secondary O2 simulator feature so the ECU would no longer throw the code.. It should be one of those wish list threads somewhere around here.. You can get a CEL eliminator adapter, or an electronic device that you can use.. there out there, but make a request for this as a feature, if there's enough demand, I'm sure they'll try to implement it if they can.
You can turn off the CEL indicator but that turns the light off.. not eliminates the code, the problem is you won't see other indicators that would trigger the CEL either.

My experience has been it had a very negligable effect on performance running without the cat.. so I chose to keep the car legal and not risk the fines or whatnot.. I do have a little green in my blood anyway so I prefer to keep my car running clean. I think my car made a whopping 5whp difference between a performance catalytic converter and a straight pipe.. not a big enough difference for me to keep it off. Now the difference between stock and a cat delete pipe, thats night and day..
