FYI.. I don't really get the Darwin name.. if it's just a current meme.. I don't agree with it as it will grow out of FAD.. we need to pick a name that will stand the test of time.. not just a current meme if that's the reason behind it.

We voted for the mascot as mods. We then set out to catch one. Minus buying one off the net, catching a stuffed otter is tougher than it seems. One our oldest, most received moderators is Otter. He usually has cute otter avatars. This helped influence our decision.

With that being said, I believe Darwin is a play off of Evolution. The name of the site. Not just a meme.
