So.... You mean to tell me shipping 4 New Advans cost $90 total at 35lbs a pop in 4 huge boxes via UPS ground, and shipping 1 CF front lip cost $60-80..... Common......

P.S. I also shipped 2 used advans in a huge box from FL to CA via UPS ground
56lbs $32.

I got an idea! Work me a price on the front lip and I'll mail you guys a shipping label that I paid for..

Dude your forgetting to factor in the size of the box for the lip.....yes its lightweight BUT its a oversized package.....so you get taxed on it. Dont believe me??? Get the measurments figure out shipping to your zip from gruppe-s on UPS.com and you will see what I am talkin about......it aint cheap man

so you paid $90 to have 4 new Advans shipped @ 35 lbs a piece (140 lbs)
then you paid $32 for 2 USED Advans @56 lbs which is 28 lbs each how used were these to loose seven pounds a tire

Ok well the 4 Advans were shipped to me via ups in 4 huge boxes and the 2 I shipped where in 1 box that I shipped from work and they were fairly used about 20% tread on em. And was so big you could not even pick it up due to the "oversized" nature of the box... We get a discount because we have a "UPS acount" so that will make it slightly cheaper. Anyone care to give me the exact dimension of the lip so I could work some numbers? Because there is no way that sucker costs $60-$80 just because it is a long *** box. I remember I was looking to get a front bumper for my DSM and it was around $100-$120 to ship it so you mean to tell me that 2-5% (front lip) of a bumber is $20 less than a whole bumper?

Yup thats what Im saying. Because its long.
I also have a UPS account with the highest level of disount since the business I own ships about 100 packages a day. I checked it and yeah I get it cheaper but gruppe-s is not gonna charge there discounted UPS rate. They will charge the regular UPS rate. They are in business to make money not give stuff away for free

My last few words about shipping. I understand business are in it to make money. Don't you think they factor cost into their final price on the piece not into shipping. Lets drop this now and agree to disagree. Any word on a Poly Lip? Not interested in carbonfiber.

P.S. $450 for fake and $640+$80 for the real deal is hardly free....

Hi guys,

Sorry about the shipping charges. We ship with FEDEX ground, and we get tagged with OS3 - oversize 3 (when they don't out right return the box) on the lips. The OS3 charges to east cost cost us usually about $60-75 just for shipping, and the box alone costs us another $6.

As for the lips, we have only 10 lips being boated to us as of 1/2/05. They should arrive in 3 weeks.

Guys, please keep in mind that this factory is a contractor to quite a few famous JDM brands (we are sworn to secrecy in terms of whom ). The lip is vacuum formed (versus hand-lay) and the carbon fiber weave used is genuine JDM weave, not the Taiwan or China carbon weave, hence the slightly higher price.

Thanks

Gary

How would you know what I could afford

It's just that a price was set I thought I was wrong. I think $399 is a fair price.
