Question Mounting Gruppe S gauge panel?

I just got the 52mm Gruppe S gauge panel, is there any other points to mount the panel besides the 2 screws?

I had the same problem as you, but after putting the gauges in, it fit pretty good for an aftermarket part. When the last gauge is finally hooked up, I'm gonna put some 3M tape around the trim to make sure it doesn't move. The only other complaints I have is if the screws are too tight, my a/c, defroster, and recirc. buttons stick, and at night when the lights are on, I can see a little bit of light around the knobs. Oh the the farthest guage from the drivers side has to be modified slightly to fit. But it's well worth the effort in my opinion. It's either that or an A-pillar pod that doesn't even fit at all. I'd recommend the Craig Hardy panel to anyone that is looking for a convenient place to mount their gauges.

The CH panel is a rip-off - for $160 it should have the plastic snap ins in the back like the stock panel, and the fitment is pretty poor. You can get unpainted panels on ebay for $50, and that way at least you can sand them down to fit correctly and paint yourself. The labels on the stock piece are just stickers which can be carefully removed and placed on the new piece.

The only way to make a CH panel work is to (1) sand it to fit right, (2) repaint it, (3) bolt down your climate controls to the dash, (3) place double-sided sticky weather stripping around the panel edge, (4) then screw the panel to the climate controls.

It can be made to work, but for the price it's a rip off.

My CH panel was perfect. When in without a problem, fits great and looks even better.
