Was that a FRAM Oil Filter??? I thought you can only use genuine Mitsubishi oil filter for the Evo. I guess you can use another brand. I hope it doesnt change the performance.

solarxclipse - haha, yeah, we were doing the first oil change and after we had already drained all the oil we discovered the dealership had given us a regular Lancer filter so we had to do a late night run to Pep Boys

Those dealer parts guys are moron, 
Why in the world they will give you a regular lancer oil filter for an Evo one. Maybe they think Evo and regular Lancer have the same engine. Oh well, I hope you guys went back to them and showed them their mistakes and get a full refund.

For the HKS Performa coilovers, the spring rates we chose were 7kg / 6kg. I will post a side shot as soon as we get our digital cam working again. Thanks!!

Willie - thanks for your PM. Unfortunately right now we do not have any HKS coilovers available, although we can special order them for you! The coilovers work fine both on the EVO 7 & the EVO 8.
