If I remember right, there is only a few wires that splice in for the S-AFC. All but one of them are simple taps, so they don't alter signals. The only one I know of that is an actual intercept is the air flow wire, and you can use some simple quick disconnects to insert/remove that wire to return the vehicle to the "stock" ECU characteristics (say, for taking it to the dealer or something). The S-AFC 2 also has multiple "map" modes, all of which can be password protected, so you can have one set for race gas, one for pump gas, and another for "stock" and then lock it, so that the dealer or whomever can't tell that you have altered the signal.

Just some info...I might be wrong....
