My S1's are set to -1/-2 and they go in and out of the lope. wup, wup, wup, wuuuuuuuuuu, wup, wup, wup, wup

Sounds bad ***. Much better idle (IMO) than the GSC 272's @ +1/-1.

Forgot to charge the camera I'll try to make a clip tomorrow. Atlvalet is right, it kind of goes in and out of lope. Im running stock sprockets and it does the same. My buddies HKS 264/272 setup idles about the same maybe a real slight lopier. Overall you will love the sound, as it's noticeable but not rough or annoying!

Trust me you can't go wrong with these cams. I'm getting tuned in a week, but even out of tune running pig rich with the new walbro, it is making great power.

05 evo 8 btw

If you want lopey as possible, get more aggressive cams.

The S1's in my opinion are all I can handle for daily driving. Everyone says they're mild. Man, they are lopey! Very similar to my friends HKS 272's. The worst idle around is my friends 264/272 Crower cams.

If someone could post up the video for me, I'll email them a video. Or even just a sound clip. PM me so I can help you guys out.

I think the idel depends on how you have them set-up. My idle is relatively mild @ -1/-2. THings could be different @ 0/0.

That's probably it, I'm still on the stock sprockets. I also noticed that GSC recently changed their cam specs on the S1's. Cam specs used to be:

Intake
Duration: 268
Lift: 10.5mm

Exhuast
Duration: 266
Lift: 10.5mm

New S1 specs

Intake
Duration: 268
Lift: 10.5mm

Exhaust
Duration: 268
Lift: 10.5mm

Greg said the cams are still identical, but that's weird to just change them suddenly.

Greg said there was no noticeable difference between the 8 & 9 exhaust cam performance, so they only produce one S1 Evo exhaust cam now. It makes sense. It probably saves them a lot of money, along with making inventory easier.

Correct! also cut down lead times for us 2 degree's total durration isnt going to change the idle. it really doesnt do anything. these cams are at the limit of what the head is capable of making for its power range. ie 3-500hp.

sgt petty in your case you have the Mivec map which could be tweaked some to make the cams lope. get with your tuner and see what he can do. there might be some side affects but the tuner might clear everything up for you.

i have read about how to make the stock IX cams lopey by adding mivec advance to the idle portion of the mivec map. i think it anywhere from +1 to +15 in the map.
