How to know if your iac motor is bad.

If you dont hear the plunger or iac motor not move does that mean the iac motor is no good?

Take it off. Check your ISC with a multimeter. Should be a consistent 28-33 ohms or so (varies with temp, as long as the numbers are all the same it is fine). Check pins 1&2 2&3 4&5 5&6.

I checked mine and they all read 21 ohms, so abit lower then spec. My car dies when I put in gear and try and accelerate when cold. Its not all the time, but normally at least once a day.

The gears on the IAC motor might actually be stripped, (it happen to me) since the gear that spins those are metal it actually eats up the Plasitc one in the IAC
