Gas Mileage???

Hey guys, I just purchased a 2003 lancer OZ. I want to make it faster the easiest way possible. So I plan on purchasing the RIPP Stage 1 full kit. My question is how much will this mod effect my gas mileage???

Thanks

if you have enough for the mod you have enough for the gas and if you dont just basically double what your spending now in gas. Youll also be putting in high test fuel as oppose to 89 or 90 and gas prices are insane!!

it really depends on your driving style. because of ripps new 2005 upgrades, unless you really romp on the gas alot, mileage won't take a big hit. this is because ripp has upgraded to a supplimental injector in combination with your stock injectors, so the supplimental injector only fires the gas when needed.

this is opposed to the standard use of aftermarket injectors (330cc or higher) and then just turning them down at idle. generally, these yield worse gas mileage cause you can never tune them down as much as the smaller stock injectors.

so for stop and go city driving, i don't see your mileage changing much at all, unless you peel out at every light LOL

I also was wondering the type of environmental abuse a SC, I plan on driving my OZ all winter long up in Canada, does this pose any treats?

Environmental wise, yo uwont be doing much damage... I dont know if RIPPs kits are CARB-legal (or the equivalent in Canada) but I dont see them creating much more negative emissions than stock.

As for gas mileage, I went from 33 mpg in the Mirage NA to about 22 - 27 turbocharged. Getting about 30 mpg with the RalliArt NA, we'll see how much boosted .......
