Stock fuel line removal Q's

If anyone has removed the soft stock fuel line that goes from the hard line to the fuel rail (soft rubber outside hard plastic inside) please give me some advise on how to do it without damaging it. I've been trying for like an hour now and I'm just measing up the rubber coating.

not a great discription. You meant the line on the driver's side? You need a to unscrew it.
