Ok so dont flame too much regarding all these questions about the turbo kit i'm putting together, i'm just asking the questions i cant seem to get straight answers on from doing research and reading the forums. Regarding the BOV. For fuel control i will be using no standalone or anything like that, just the stock ECU, 12:1 FMU, stock injectors, and 255walbro, and possibly with an SAFC just for minor adjusting at WOT. I will be only boosting to 6psi Max. So i hear the straight forward place to put the MAF would be just after the air filter with the BOV recirculating into the intake path just after the MAF. HOWEVER, i, like all people with a turbo, love the sound of the BOV and out of neatness i would rather not have to fab a recirc port into the intake piping since its all going to be custom done by me anyway. So i've seen setups (especially like Ryan Bush's) where the MAF was put just before the TB, after the BOV and it seems to work fine for them (i'm figuring because the air count is taken then with what is entering the engine, not entering the turbo). I already have a CAI so using the pipe and adapters from the CAI would make that setup much easier to do for me. just looking for any input from anyone who has done this and just making sure its feasible without going standalone or some type of engine management system..

PM Ryan Bush. I believe he is the only person who actually did that.

Yes, it runs fine like that. I have my set up like that and my engine never stalls. TB--->MAF--->BOV-->Turbo...

Awesome, good deal. Thank god for useful people on this board, because there certainly are a lot of useless people Just ordered my intercooler today. Think i'm gonna drop 50 on some mandrel 2.5 pipe tomorrow and start fitting the intercooler and test fitting the pipe from the outlet to the TB. Installed my boost gauge last night, i'm getting readings a little bit lower on the vaccum than i expected (-2hg at WOT and -27 to -30 at idle) but i'm going to replace the plastic line that came with the kit with a rubber vac hose and see if that makes a difference. Cheers beers!
